City Botanic Gardens are Brisbane's original botanic gardens. The
gardens stretch out to the Brisbane River on three sides where you
can walk or cycle your way around to enjoy the exotic flora.

Boardwalk and ornamental ponds. Special events are held at the Riverstage.

Brisbane's City Centre
The City Botanic
Gardens are only a 10 to 15 minutes walk from Brisbane's city centre
and Central or Roma Street railway stations. You can walk into the
gardens from the Parliament House entrance (George Street), Alice
Street, at the intersection of Edward Street and at the Albert Street
intersection the Goodwill Bridge. You can also catch a bus or ferry
to the gardens.

is Brisbane's entertainment centre for alternative and emerging
fashion, music and entertainment. The heart of Fortitude Valley
( "The Valley") consists of James, Brunswick and Ann Streets.

Castlemaine Perkins Brewery - XXXX Ale House
& Brewery Tours
The XXXX Ale
House and Brewery Tours allow you to experience an Australian icon
up close and discover its proud legend. The Castlemaine Perkins
Brewery was established at Milton, just west of Brisbane city, in
1878. Flash forward 130 years or so, and a visit to the brewery
is your ticket to a rich taste of the science, art and heritage
behind XXXX beers.
Queen Street Mall
Brisbane’s
vibrant Queen Street Mall hosts over 26 million visitors a year.
Along with the 700 plus retailers there are numerous restaurants,
cafes, bars, cinemas, salons and day spas, 5-star hotels and a grand
casino. Along with regular free live entertainment there are many
buskers out to entertain those with the time and spare change. Several
24 hour eateries and bars to be found along the mall's central spine
for party minded people. Close by you'll find many of Brisbane’s
galleries and museums, parklands and riverside.

Visitor Experience
Centre
The Visitor
Experience Centre will be open to the public from mid March 2011
until mid 2012. The Centre will hold exciting displays of the restoration
work taking place throughout City Hall.

Displays
These interactive
and engaging displays are suitable for the whole family and include
real artifacts from the restoration, behind the scenes footage and
information about the work taking place to restore City Hall. You
